How It Works
The indicator identifies market imbalances using a three-bar price structure:
- Bullish Imbalance: Occurs when the high of three bars ago is lower than the low of the previous bar, forming a price gap.
- Bearish Imbalance: Occurs when the low of three bars ago is higher than the high of the previous bar, creating a downward gap.
When an imbalance is detected:
- Green Boxes indicate bullish imbalances.
- Red Boxes indicate bearish imbalances.
- Once price interacts with an imbalance, the box fades to gray, marking it as tested.

MTF Fair Value Gap [BigBeluga]The MTF Fair Value Gap (FVG) indicator provides multi-timeframe options to observe lower or higher gaps in different timeframes within your current one. This can enhance the confluence in your trading decisions.
🔶 USAGE
An FVG is formed when a candle has an 'empty' body, leaving a gap. These areas are often filled before the market continues to trend in its original direction.
In practical terms, FVGs serve to highlight support areas (bullish FVGs) and resistance zones (bearish FVGs). As a gap is filled, signaling the end of the existing imbalance, it tends to foreshadow an impending price reversal.
While this approach is inherently contrarian, individuals seeking a more trend-following strategy can opt to use FVG identification as straightforward signals. This entails taking a long position upon detecting a bullish FVG and adopting a short position in the presence of a bearish FVG.
🔹 Mitigation
The mitigation point is where the user selects when the FVG is considered filled or no longer usable.
Source => Choose the candle's low/high or close as the mitigation point.
Point => Choose the FVG's mitigation point to trigger after the candle's Source has filled it. Users can choose between the middle point or the top/bottom of the FVG.

🔹 MTF
This script can display MTF FVGs from different timeframes while showing the current one. This is extremely useful as it avoids the need to switch timeframes frequently and can add significant confluence with the current FVG.
🔹 Threshold
The Threshold is an input to remove insignificant FVGs that are too small to be truly useful. Users can choose between:
Auto => Automatically remove unusable FVGs.
Manual => Set an automatic Threshold.

Users can choose how many FVGs to display on the current chart for better visualization.
Users can choose which FVGs to display: only the current one, only MTF ones, or both.

I would like to present you ICT Fair Value Gap script. The idea is the same as in my other script to look form imbalances. I have improved the previous script from teaching of ICT and created this script to train the eye to see those gaps. Shrinking option also shows if the gap has been already filled and also in case gap is filled you can get alert in case you will set it up .
The script has two settings:
general settings - definition of volatility condition for middle candle
box settings - setting for boxes, box colors, shrinking

Synapse Trade - Fair Value GapsNot your average FVG indicator. This FVG indicator allowed for overlapping, and invalidated FVGs to remain as the existence of Inversion Fair Value Gaps exists and, in my recent experience, has been incredibly useful finding new levels of support and resistance, even inside a currently FVG, the "invalidated" FVGs can still have an impact on price trend and react to it.

Breakaway Fair Value Gaps [LuxAlgo]The Breakaway Fair Value Gap (FVG) is a typical FVG located at a point where the price is breaking new Highs or Lows.
🔶 USAGE
In the screenshot above, the price range is visualized by Donchian Channels.
In theory, the Breakaway FVGs should generally be a good indication of market participation, showing favor in the FVG's breaking direction. This is a combination of buyers or sellers pushing markets quickly while already at the highest high or lowest low in recent history.
While this described reasoning seems conventional, looking into it inversely seems to reveal a more effective use of these formations.
When the price is pushed to the extremities of the current range, the price is already potentially off balance and over-extended. Then an FVG is created, extending the price further out of balance.
With this in consideration, After identifying a Breakaway FVG, we could logically look for a reversion to re-balance the gap.
However, it would be illogical to believe that the FVG will immediately mitigate after formation. Because of this, the dashboard display for this indicator shows the analysis for the mitigation likelihood and timeliness.
In the example above, the information in the dashboard would read as follows (Bearish example):
Out of 949 Bearish Breakaway FVGs, 80.19% are shown to be mitigated within 60 bars, with the average mitigation time being 13 bars.
The other 19.81% are not mitigated within 60 bars. This could mean the FVG was mitigated after 60 bars, or it was never mitigated.
The unmitigated FVGs within the analysis window will extend their mitigation level to the current bar. We can see the number of bars since the formation is represented to the right of the live mitigation level.
Utilizing the current distance readout helps to better judge the likelihood of a level being mitigated.
Additionally, when considering these mitigation levels as targets, an additional indicator or analysis can be used to identify specific entries, which would further aid in a system's reliability.
🔶 SETTINGS
Trend Length: Sets the (DC) Trend length to use for Identifying Breakaway FVGs.
Show Mitigation Levels: Optionally hide mitigation levels if you would prefer only to see the Breakaway FVGs.
Maximum Duration: Sets the analysis duration for FVGs, Past this length in bars, the FVG is counted as "Un-Mitigated".
Show Dashboard: Optionally hide the dashboard.
Use Median Duration: Display the Median of the Bar Length data set rather than the Average.

It detects two types of FVGs:
Bullish FVG: Occurs when the low of the current candle is higher than the high of the candle from 2 bars ago (creates an upward gap)
Bearish FVG: Occurs when the high of the current candle is lower than the low of the candle from 2 bars ago (creates a downward gap)

Automatic Closest FVG with BPRFair Value Gaps are a hugely popular concept and because of that there are numerous indicators available. This one however, was designed to automate the process of actually using them in trading.
Designed with lower time frame entries in mind (though will work on HTF just as well), this indicator automatically draws the closest, non-mitigated FVG, to the current price, cutting out the work of looking for what FVG is relevant.
The indicator also has an option to show when the current nearest pair of FVGs form a BPR or 'balanced price range'.
There are various option for what counts as mitigation, including no mitigation at all, and when mitigated an FVG is no longer considered for proximity searching.

Order-Blocks

Sell Order Block: Conversely, a sell order block happens when there's a notable accumulation of sell orders at a particular price level. This suggests that many traders are willing to sell the asset if the price reaches that level.
Impact on Price: Order blocks can influence price movement because when the market approaches these levels, the orders within the block may be triggered, leading to increased buying or selling pressure, depending on the type of block. This surge in trading activity can cause the price to either bounce off the level or break through it.
Support and Resistance: Order blocks are often associated with support and resistance levels. A buy order block may act as support, preventing the price from falling further, while a sell order block may serve as resistance, hindering upward price movement.
Fair-Value-Gap
The fair value gap in trading refers to the difference between the current market price of an asset and its calculated fair value. This concept is often used in financial markets, especially in the context of stocks and other securities. Here's a breakdown:
Market Price: The market price is the price at which an asset is currently trading in the market. It is determined by the interaction of supply and demand forces, as well as various other factors such as news, sentiment, and economic conditions.
Fair Value: Fair value represents the estimated intrinsic value of an asset based on fundamental analysis, which includes factors such as earnings, dividends, cash flow, growth prospects, and prevailing interest rates. It's essentially what an asset should be worth based on its fundamentals.
Fair Value Calculation: Analysts and investors use various methods to calculate the fair value of an asset. Common approaches include discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, comparable company analysis (CCA), and dividend discount models (DDM), among others.
Fair Value Gap: The fair value gap is the numerical difference between the calculated fair value of an asset and its current market price. 🔶 USAGE
By default, the indicator displays each feature relevant to the most recent price variations in order to avoid clutter on the chart & to provide a very similar experience to how a user would contruct ICT Concepts by hand.
Users can use the historical mode in the settings to see historical market structure/imbalances. The ICT Concepts indicator has various use cases, below we outline many examples of how a trader could find usage of the features together.
In the above image we can see price took out Sellside liquidity, filled two bearish FVGs, a market structure shift, which then led to a clean retest of a bullish FVG as a clean setup to target the order block above.
Price then fills the OB which creates a breaker level as seen in yellow.
Broken OBs can be useful for a trader using the ICT Concepts indicator as it marks a level where orders have now been filled, indicating a solidified level that has proved itself as an area of liquidity. In the image above we can see a trade setup using a broken bearish OB as a potential entry level.
We can see the New Week Opening Gap (NWOG) above was an optimal level to target considering price may tend to fill / react off of these levels according to ICT.
In the next image above, we have another example of various use cases where the ICT Concepts indicator hypothetically allow traders to find key levels & find optimal entry points using market structure.
In the image above we can see a bearish Market Structure Shift (MSS) is confirmed, indicating a potential trade setup for targeting the Balanced Price Range imbalance (BPR) below with a stop loss above the buyside liquidity.
Although what we are demonstrating here is a hindsight example, it shows the potential usage this toolkit gives you for creating trading plans based on ICT Concepts.
Same chart but playing out the history further we can see directly after price came down to the Sellside liquidity & swept below it...
Then by enabling IFVGs in the settings, we can see the IFVG retests alongside the Sellside & Buyside liquidity acting in confluence.
Which allows us to see a great bullish structure in the market with various key levels for potential entries.
Here we can see a potential bullish setup as price has taken out a previous Sellside liquidity zone and is now retesting a NWOG + Volume Imbalance.
Users also have the option to display Fibonacci retracements based on market structure, order blocks, and imbalance areas, which can help place limit/stop orders more effectively as well as finding optimal points of interest beyond what the primary ICT Concepts features can generate for a trader.
In the above image we can see the Fibonacci extension was selected to be based on the NWOG giving us some upside levels above the buyside liquidity.
🔶 DETAILS
Each feature within the ICT Concepts indicator is described in the sub sections below.
🔹 Market Structure
Market structure labels are constructed from price breaking a prior swing point. This allows a user to determine the current market trend based on the price action.
There are two types of Market Structure labels included:
Market Structure Shift (MSS)
Break Of Structure (BOS)
A MSS occurs when price breaks a swing low in an uptrend or a swing high in a downtrend, highlighting a potential reversal. This is often labeled as "CHoCH", but ICT specifies it as MSS.
On the other hand, BOS labels occur when price breaks a swing high in an uptrend or a swing low in a downtrend. The occurrence of these particular swing points is caused by retracements (inducements) that highlights liquidity hunting in lower timeframes.
🔹 Order Blocks
More significant market participants (institutions) with the ability of placing large orders in the market will generally place a sequence of individual trades spread out in time. This is referred as executing what is called a "meta-order".
Order blocks highlight the area where potential meta-orders are executed. Bullish order blocks are located near local bottoms in an uptrend while bearish order blocks are located near local tops in a downtrend.
When price mitigates (breaks out) an order block, a breaker block is confirmed. We can eventually expect price to trade back to this breaker block offering a new trade opportunity.
🔹 Buyside & Sellside Liquidity
Buyside / Sellside liquidity levels highlight price levels where market participants might place limit/stop orders.
Buyside liquidity levels will regroup the stoploss orders of short traders as well as limit orders of long traders, while Sellside liquidity levels will regroup the stoploss orders of long traders as well as limit orders of short traders.
These levels can play different roles. More informed market participants might view these levels as source of liquidity, and once liquidity over a specific level is reduced it will be found in another area.
🔹 Imbalances
Imbalances highlight disparities between the bid/ask, these can also be defined as inefficiencies, which would suggest that not all available information is reflected by the price and would as such provide potential trading opportunities.
It is common for price to "rebalance" and seek to come back to a previous imbalance area.
ICT highlights multiple imbalance formations:
Fair Value Gaps: A three candle formation where the candle shadows adjacent to the central candle do not overlap, this highlights a gap area.
Implied Fair Value Gaps: Unlike the fair value gap the implied fair value gap has candle shadows adjacent to the central candle overlapping. The gap area is constructed from the average between the respective shadow and the nearest extremity of their candle body.
Balanced Price Range: Balanced price ranges occur when a fair value gap overlaps a previous fair value gap, with the overlapping area resulting in the imbalance area.
Volume Imbalance: Volume imbalances highlight gaps between the opening price and closing price with existing trading activity (the low/high overlap the previous high/low).
Opening Gap: Unlike volume imbalances opening gaps highlight areas with no trading activity. The low/high does not reach previous high/low, highlighting a "void" area.
🔹 Displacement
Displacements are scenarios where price forms successive candles of the same sentiment (bullish/bearish) with large bodies and short shadows.
These can more technically be identified by positive auto correlation (a close to open change is more likely to be followed by a change of the same sign) as well as volatility clustering (large changes are followed by large changes).
Displacements can be the cause for the formation of imbalances as well as market structure, these can be caused by the full execution of a meta order.

Killzones represent different time intervals that aims at offering optimal trade entries. Killzones include:
- New York Killzone (7:9 ET)
- London Open Killzone (2:5 ET)
- London Close Killzone (10:12 ET)
- Asian Killzone (20:00 ET)

This script aims to emulate how a trader would draw each of the covered features on their chart in the most precise representation to how it's actually taught by ICT directly.
There are many parallels between ICT Concepts and Smart Money Concepts that we released in 2022 which has a more general & simpler usage:
ICT Concepts, however, is more specifically aligned toward the community's interpretation of how to analyze price 'based on ICT', rather than displaying features to have a more classic interpretation for a technical analyst.
NWOG with FVGThe New Week Opening Gap (NWOG) and Fair Value Gap (FVG) combined indicator is a trading tool designed to analyze price action and detect potential support, resistance, and trade entry opportunities based on two significant concepts:
New Week Opening Gap (NWOG): The price range between the high and low of the first candle of the new trading week.

Instantaneous Fair Value Gap mitigation is a new concept introduced in this script and refers to the event of price mitigating a fair value gap one bar after its creation.
The resulting signal sentiment is opposite to the bias of the mitigated fair value gap. As such an instantaneously mitigated bearish FGV results in a bullish signal, while an instantaneously mitigated bullish FGV results in a bearish signal.
Fair value gap areas subject to instantaneous mitigation are highlighted alongside their average level, this level is extended until reached in a direction opposite to the FVG bias and can be used as a potential support/resistance level.
Users can filter out less volatile fair value gaps using the "FVG Width Filter" setting, with higher values highlighting more volatile fair value gaps subject to instantaneous mitigation.

The trailing stop can be reset on "Every Signal", whether they are bullish or bearish, or only on an "Inverse Signal", which will reset the trailing when a signal of opposite bias is detected, this will preserve an existing trailing stop when a new signal of the same bias to the present one is detected.

🔧 HOW IT WORKS
1. Primary Market Profile Filter (Higher Timeframe)
The indicator calculates Market Profile on a higher timeframe (default: 1 hour) to determine the overall market structure:
Value Area High (VAH): Top 70% of volume distribution
Value Area Low (VAL): Bottom 70% of volume distribution
Point of Control (POC): Price level with highest volume
When price reaches VAH and reverses down → SELL-ONLY mode activated
When price reaches VAL and reverses up → BUY-ONLY mode activated
This higher timeframe filter ensures you're trading in the direction of institutional flow.
2. Dual VWAP System
Two independent VWAP calculations provide multi-timeframe trend confirmation:
Primary VWAP (Session-based): Resets daily, tracks intraday momentum
Secondary VWAP (Week-based): Resets weekly, confirms longer-term trend
Filter Logic:
BUY signals require: Price > Primary VWAP AND Price > Secondary VWAP
SELL signals require: Price < Primary VWAP AND Price < Secondary VWAP
This dual confirmation prevents counter-trend trades during ranging conditions.
3. Fair Value Gap (FVG) Detection
FVG zones identify price inefficiencies where institutional orders were executed rapidly:
Bullish FVG: Gap between candle .high and candle .low (upward imbalance)
Bearish FVG: Gap between candle .high and candle .low (downward imbalance)
The indicator monitors recent FVG formation (lookback: 50 bars) and requires:
Bullish FVG present for BUY signals
Bearish FVG present for SELL signals
FVG zones are displayed as colored boxes and automatically marked as "mitigated" when price fills the gap.
4. Main Trading Signal Logic
The secondary Market Profile (default: 1 hour) generates the actual trading signals:
BUY Signal Conditions:
Price reaches Value Area Low
Reversal pattern confirmed (minimum 1 bar)
Price > Primary VWAP
Price > Secondary VWAP (if filter enabled)
Recent Bullish FVG detected (if filter enabled)
Primary MP Filter = BUY-ONLY or NEUTRAL
SELL Signal Conditions:
Price reaches Value Area High
Reversal pattern confirmed (minimum 1 bar)

⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNINGS & LIMITATIONS
1. Repainting Behavior
CRITICAL: This indicator uses lookahead=barmerge.lookahead_on to access higher timeframe data immediately for FVG detection. This is necessary to provide real-time FVG zone visualization but has the following implications:
FVG zones may shift slightly until the higher timeframe candle closes
FVG detection signals are preliminary until HTF bar confirmation
The main trading signals (triangles) appear on confirmed bars and do not repaint
Best Practice: Always wait for the current timeframe bar to close before acting on signals. The filter status and FVG zones are informational but may adjust as new data arrives.
2. Minimum Timeframe
Do NOT use on timeframes below 5 minutes (M5)
Recommended: M5, M15, M30 for intraday trading
Higher timeframes (H1, H4) can also be used but will generate fewer signals
3. Multiple Filters Can Block Signals
By design, this indicator is conservative. When all filters are enabled:
Signals appear ONLY when all conditions align
You may see extended periods with no signals
This is intentional to reduce false positives
If you see no signals:
Check the Info Panel to see which filters are failing
Consider adjusting FVG lookback period
Temporarily disable FVG filter to test
Verify VWAP filters match current market trend
4. Market Profile Limitations
Market Profile requires sufficient volume data
Low-volume instruments may produce unreliable profiles
Value Areas update only on higher timeframe bar close
Works best on liquid markets (major forex pairs, indices, crypto)
📖 HOW TO USE
Step 1: Add to Chart
Apply indicator to M5 or higher timeframe chart
Ensure chart shows volume data
Use standard candles (NOT Heikin Ashi, Renko, etc.)
Step 2: Configure Settings
Primary MP Filter TF: Set to 60 (1 hour) minimum, or 240 (4 hour) for swing trading
Main MP TF: Set to 60 (1 hour) for intraday signals
FVG Timeframe: Match or exceed main MP timeframe
Leave other settings at default initially
Step 3: Understand the Info Panel
Monitor the top-right panel:
FILTER STATUS: Shows current directional bias
NEUTRAL = Both signals allowed
BUY ONLY = Only green triangles will appear
SELL ONLY = Only red triangles will appear
FVG Filter: Shows if bullish/bearish gaps detected recently
VWAP positions: Confirms trend alignment
Step 4: Take Signals
For BUY Signal (Green Triangle ▲):
Wait for green triangle to appear
Check Info Panel shows ✓ for BUY signals
Confirm current bar has closed
Enter long position
Stop loss: Below recent VAL or swing low
Target: Previous Value Area High or 1.5-2× risk
For SELL Signal (Red Triangle ▼):
Wait for red triangle to appear
Check Info Panel shows ✓ for SELL signals

Step 5: Risk Management
Risk per trade: Maximum 1-2% of account equity
Position sizing: Adjust based on stop loss distance
Avoid trading: During major news events or time filter periods
Multiple confirmations: Look for confluence with price action (support/resistance, trendlines)

Market Profile Theory

How to Use the ICT 1st Presented Fair Value Gap in Trading
To apply the ICT 1st Presented Fair Value Gap (FVG), identify the first fair value gap of the day and extend it across the chart until 3:45 PM New York time.
You’ll often notice that some of the best trade setups form around this level. It tends to act as a key reference point for price action during the day—especially on trending days, where price frequently returns to this gap before continuing in its direction.
This level can also serve as an inverse fair value gap, offering opportunities in the opposite direction under the right conditions.
How to Disqualify the 1st Presented Fair Value Gap?
When the first fair value gap forms after 9:30 AM New York time, check the candles that came just before it.
If the candlestick that creates the FVG doesn’t break above or below the range of those previous candles, then it’s not a true inefficiency. In that case, it’s considered a disqualified 1st Presented Fair Value Gap—meaning it shouldn’t be used as a key reference level.
